About

Doctor Tom Ophardt

Our new office was opened in July 2006 after Dr. Ophardt returned to Brockport after 9 years from the San Francisco Bay area. Previously, he had a practice in Brockport for 15 years, and with his return, Debbie re-joined the team as the office manager of the front office staff.

Dr. Ophardt was raised on a dairy farm in Hilton and went to high school in Hilton. After attending Hartwick College in Oneonta NY, Dr. Ophardt received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry and most recently became a Fellow of the American Board of Clinical Optometry, one of the first optometrists in the United States to become board certified. Dr. Ophardt is also on the medical staff with Trillium Healthcare, located in Rochester, New York.

Debra Wilson

Debra Wilson has been the Office Manager in addition to Dr. Tom’s “right hand” since 1982. Debra and her husband Daniel reside in Hamlin, NY. where they have raised their two children, Kathy and Dan, Jr. and now enjoy spending time with their two grandchildren. Debra is an genuine asset to Dr. Tom’s Office. Her bright smile and cheerful disposition are a ray of sunshine each day

Phyllis Romano

Phyllis Romano has been with our office for one year now. She previously worked for The College at Brockport and retired three years ago. Phyllis was Secretary/Adm. Assistant. at the college working in various departments, Education and Human Department, Physical Education and Sport and Communications Department. She resides in Rochester, New York with her husband. Motherhood has brought her a daughter and son; in addition to two grandchildren. Noteworthy: Phyllis and Debbie have been BFF’s for 46 years!
